Emergency water extraction in Vancouver & the Lower Mainland

Standing water does more damage every hour it sits. Our crews pump it out fast with truck-mounted and portable extractors — day or night, anywhere in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Water moves quickly. Within minutes it wicks into drywall and baseboards; within hours it soaks into subfloors, swells hardwood and seeps under cabinets. Within 24–48 hours mould can begin to grow.

The faster water is extracted, the more of your home can be saved — and the shorter and cheaper the drying that follows. That's why we treat every water call as an emergency.

Water Extraction

Water we remove

  • Burst or frozen pipes

Common in cold snaps and in older homes with aging plumbing.

  • Appliance leaks

Water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, fridge lines.

  • Sewer & drain backups

Contaminated water handled with proper protection and disinfection.

  • Basement & crawl space flooding

Heavy rain, groundwater and failed sump pumps.

  • Roof & window leaks

Atmospheric river storms that overwhelm roofs and gutters.

  • Condo & strata leaks

Water travelling between units from above or next door.

Our process

How we extract water

  1. 1

    Make it safe

We check for electrical hazards, identify the source and help stop the flow.

  2. 2

    Assess the water

We classify it as clean, grey or black water — that decides how it's handled and what can be saved.

  3. 3

    Extract

Truck-mounted units and submersible pumps remove standing water; weighted extraction pulls water out of carpet and pad.

  4. 4

    Remove what can't be saved

Soaked pad, insulation and badly damaged materials are removed so the structure can dry.

  5. 5

    Set up drying

Dehumidifiers and air movers go in the same visit, so drying starts right away.

FAQ

Water extraction questions

Should I try to remove the water myself first?

If it's safe, stop the source and move valuables out of the water. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water, and stay out of rooms where water may be near outlets or the electrical panel. Leave contaminated water (sewer backups) to professionals.

Can my carpet be saved?

Often yes, if the water is clean and we get to it quickly. Carpet pad usually has to be replaced. Carpet soaked by sewage or long-standing water typically can't be safely saved.

Is sewer backup water dangerous?

Yes. It can carry bacteria and other contaminants. We use protective equipment, remove affected porous materials and clean and disinfect the area.
